Isolated is a somewhat clean layout. It uses Mootool's Accordion for the posts and GD image for the titles.

The sidebar is actually a bottom bar just above the footer. And to top it off, there is a link in the footer to collapse it. After all, you don't always need it, right?

Features...

A quick run down of the features:

  1. Contains search, author, and links page templates.
  2. Mootool Accordion for bulk post display.
  3. Collapsible/expandable sidebar.
  4. XHTML1.0 Transitional
  5. Sidebar is above footer, and has 3 columns.
  6. GD Image Titles (Can be disabled via Theme Options Page)

This theme was tested in IE7, IE6, Firefox 1.5, and Opera 9 and was completely operational.

A requirement...

However, there is a requirement... You must have GD enabled. GD is used to create each post and page title. A later release will have the ability to turn this off, but until then, there is no way to easily turn it off. There is now an option page to enable or disable GD Image titles. If you do not have GD Image available, you can now disable and use standard titles.

To test if you have GD, create a new file called phpinfo.php, and paste this into it:

Then go to that page, and look for a section called GD. Make sure you have PNG support. If you do, then you are good to go... Otherwise, you will have to modify this theme, or wait for a later release.

This theme has ONLY been tested in the latest build of Wordpress (2.1.3), I can not render any support on an earlier version.

Download and Install...

Installation is simple

  1. Download the Isolated Theme file.
  2. Unrar the file.
  3. Upload the entire Isolated folder to your wp-content/themes/ folder
  4. Go to your admin “presentation” section, activate, and enjoy…

All I ask is that you keep the "Isolated" link back to me in the footer, as it is licensed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 License because I am tired of browsing the internet and finding things I spend hours of work on being claimed by someone else... If the license changes, I will let you know, until then Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 License is in.

You may need some basic CSS/PHP knowledge to get this theme to function, since no 2 servers are a like. If you don't have that knowledge, move along...
