The project, to create a fully dexterous robotic hand. It will be able to grasp anything a human hand can, and perform any action that a human hand can, plus some. The goal is to create a device that can be controlled at a distance very naturally as if the operator was right there.

The PLANNED controls will consist of one of the following, multiple, or a combination:

1) A glove with sensors so that the robotic hand moves in relation to the operators.
2) Through computer software using USB

It will be controlled via servos that will be using a cable system to control the joints. Each finger will have 2 servos. One for the proximal inter phalangeal (PIP) and distal inter phalangeal (DIP) joints, and one for the metacarpal phalangeal (MP) joint.

At this point, I am still pressing to move beyond the “on paper” stage. However, I did finish a prototype finger.

I fixed the captcha. I forgot to give it style, so it was only a white box you had to search around for to answer the challenge question… It is fixed now. CORRECTION: The captcha is now gone… it was screwing up

I just checked my spam comment queue, and it appears Askimet marked half of my comments as spam… So it is outta here. I will find another alternative. So my apologies to all whom got spanked by it.

Also want to say… This layout is staying for quite awhile. I like it, others seem to as well, so it stays… Maybe an upgrade every now and then.

Got some new content coming soon. I am tied up in a few projects right now… But there is more stuff on the way soon enough.

Also, from now on, anyone making comments just to get their link’s in a post (i.e., asking what blogware I’m running just so their retarded tutorial site gets another link out there) will be banned from ensellitis.com, lobd, etc etc, and I will also humiliate you to the best of my ability.

Yep. I have been playing with mootools again. Version 1.1 has been just been released, so I figured it was as good of time as any to make something to test it out. The result? Windows online, a Windows emulation. It looks best in Firefox… but will operate limitly on other browsers.

It is by no means the best example of its powers… But it is a good example anyways, and I don’t mind tooting my own horn.

Going to be switching my design here… bear with me while i update it to all the new CSS. everything should still be somewhat functional… hopefully

UPDATE: Ok, for the most part, the new design is up and running. I have a few more things to finish up, such as the gallery… And a few plugin integrations…

But now, it is time for me to try to get some sleep.

My personal checklist…

  • Gallery -DONE
  • Asides styling/adding -DONE
  • Random quotes in header -DONE
  • Get Wing Street Honey BBQ Buffalo Wings (bone out)

If anyone is actually reading this, and knows of something I missed out on… Fill me in, please.

What is the worst feeling for me? Being absolutely dedicated to a project, spending a year working on it, putting my heart and soul into every line of code… And not being able to work on it…

Maybe it’s my medical problems… But I haven’t been able to touch LoBD for the past few weeks… Every time I try, I just can’t. I love the site and I want to work on it… But it’s just so hard. The active member base is fairly small, but I consider them all my friends. But it feels like I am painting a boat as it’s sinking. Even if the member base stays small, and grows small, I still love it…

But why can’t I bring myself to work on it?

It has to be part of the depression I have been in. I can’t sleep, and when I can, I can’t sleep in the same bed as my own wife. I get freaked out when I hear people near the front door because I’m afraid I will have to talk to someone. I hate this pitiful existence. Next month i have an appointment with a doctor to get checked out… And I still have to see other doctors for my other problems…

Maybe then I can get back on track… Right now, I am just so… Meh…

Isolated Wordpress Theme

Isolated is a somewhat clean layout. It uses Mootool’s Accordion for the posts and GD image for the titles.

This theme is dead to me. I no longer have the time or energy for it. Anyone is welcome to take it and make it their own. The copyright is no longer required, this is completely free and open source. If you post a link to your version, I will gladly post that for you. But again, do not ask for any support, as I will not provide it anymore. Thnka you

The sidebar is actually a bottom bar just above the footer. And to top it off, there is a link in the footer to collapse it. After all, you don’t always need it, right?

Features…

A quick run down of the features:

  1. Contains search, author, and links page templates.
  2. Mootool Accordion for bulk post display.
  3. Collapsible/expandable sidebar.
  4. XHTML1.0 Transitional
  5. Sidebar is above footer, and has 3 columns.
  6. GD Image Titles (Can be disabled via Theme Options Page)

This theme was tested in IE7, IE6, Firefox 1.5, and Opera 9 and was completely operational.

I finished work on a PHP class that coverts a users input into ASCII text and put it in the projects section. Soon, if I get around to it, I will add the ability to choose the fonts and some other options.
